This afternoon, I was inspired by the beautiful Bradford pear trees in our backyard. I've never taken photographs of nature before but I couldn't let this brief moment of beauty pass me by. And, I have another reason for wanting to savor the moment.
I have a very dear friend who is beginning a battle with breast cancer. She and I live a hundred miles apart and she doesn't have access to a computer. She's never seen my blog but is so excited for me and loves to hear me talk about it. She has always been one of my biggest supporters over the years, always believing that I'm better than I am. Always believing that I was somebody special. That kind of person doesn't come along every day.
So, I've gathered together my favorite food photos from the blog along with these photos of our early spring in a photo album for her. I want her to have a piece of me there with her when she enters this war. And, what can be more powerful than spring with God's promise of renewal, rebirth, and hope?

Pretty Pics. I'm so glad Spring is here. So sorry to hear about your friend. I am walking in the Breast Cancer 3 day in Oct. in support of a friend of mine who is a suvivor.
