Buffalo Chicken Casserole with Shirley J {Giveaway}

I was so pleased to be able to work with Shirley J. Shirley J is the creator of Whisk Bliss, a "universal cooking base" which can be used in any number of ways. In addition to Whisk Bliss, the company also sells universal cake mixes, muffin and brownie mixes, bread mixes, and seasonings. I had the opportunity to try out the Original Whisk Bliss and chicken bouillon to create Buffalo Chicken Casserole.

By following the directions of the back of the Orignal Whisk Bliss package, I was able to create a smooth, creamy sauce that could have been used in any number of ways. I chose to season it with the chicken bouillon; however, you could add cheese or some of your favorite herbs and spices. It truly is a blank slate. For more inspiration, visit the Shirley J web site. It's filled with recipes for each product.

Buffalo Chicken Casserole

3-4 green onions, sliced
1 tbsp. olive oil
2 cups chicked, cooked and shredded
1/4 cup hot sauce
8 oz. short pasta, cooked and drained
1 cup Shirley J Whisk Bliss
4 cups water
1 tbsp. Shirley J chicken bouillon
2 cups bread crumbs, fresh or dried
1 tbsp. Ranch dressing mix

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium skillet, saute the green onions in the olive oil over medium heat until soft. Add the cooked chicken and hot sauce until warmed through. Place the cooked pasta into a large mixing bowl, add the chicken mixture. In a sauce pan, add one cup of Shirley J Whisk Bliss and four cups of water. Per directions on back of the Whisk Bliss packaging, cook the mixture over low heat for 5 minutes whisking until smooth. Add one tablespoon of bouillon and whisk until smooth. Pour the Whisk Bliss sauce over the chicken and pasta mixture. Pour into a greased 9"x13" baking dish. In a small bowl, mix together the bread crumbs and dressing mix. Sprinkle evenly over the casserole and bake for approximately 30 minutes until bubbly.

My husband fell in love with this casserole. He said it was one of the best that I've ever made. It was spicy, creamy, and filling. I couldn't help but think of all the other casseroles that I could make using Shirley J's Original Whisk Bliss. How would you use it?
