Craft Corner: Celebration Balloon Wreath

Don't worry. This is not going to be a regular feature because I'm not crafty at all and never will be. I can't tell you how many times I've convinced myself that I could pull off a craft only to buy all of the materials and shove them in my closet never to be seen again. But, when I saw this Celebration Balloon Wreath on Our Best Bites, I thought it could possibly be a craft that I could actually pull off.

I had originally planned to make a multi-colored wreath for my sons' birthday party but thought that I would start by making one for a baby shower instead. I bought all of the materials but couldn't bring myself to start the project for a couple of months. I convinced myself that there was no way that mine would turn out great. Mostly, I'm a huge procrastinator...

But, as the shower date loomed closer and I continued to stumble over the bag filled with wreath and balloons every time I opened my closet, I decided to give it a try. I got the hang of it fairly quickly and it wasn't long before it started to take shape. I would estimate that the whole project took about an hour. And, I'm so happy with the results.

I feel so accomplished, so empowered, so dang crafty! I might even make another one soon. Oh, the possibilities are endless. Since Sara from Our Best Bites did such a great job with the directions, I'm not going to repeat them here. Check them out and make yourself a wreath! You'll feel so proud of yourself when you're done!
